Endingen/ Herbolzheim, 26.10.2018: Job-Start-Fair with big rush at the Kaiserstuhl

WECUBEX would like to use such platforms in the future increasingly for the establishment of contact with apprentices

After WECUBEX Systemtechnik GmbH attended the training day of the IHK Südlicher Oberrhein in May, last week on October 25th and 26th it participated at the Job-Start-Fair in Endingen am Kaiserstuhl. At a further regional job information fair, pupils and potential applicants received everything they needed to know about the WECUBEX 2019 training programme. There was a great deal of interest.

Two halls, two event days and several hundred visitors per day – these were the basic data of the Job-Start-Fair Endingen 2018. “The great interest in WECUBEX Systemtechnik on the part of teachers from vocational preparation schools in the vicinity is particularly promising,” summarised Theresa Weigand, personnel officer. In addition to information material in the form of flyers, WECUBEX also presented small demonstration parts made of sheet metal at the stand, which brought the potential trainees closer to the production work. In addition, personnel officer Weigand and plant manager Marco Graf each supported two trainees per day, who reported to the visitors on the various professions from their own experience. Thus the event began on the very well attended Thursday evening at 18.00 hrs. Many students came with their parents and informed themselves about possible career perspectives. At 20.30 o’clock the first day ended. The following day, which was scheduled with a time frame from 9.00 a.m. to 12.30 p.m., was completely dedicated to the school classes.

WECUBEX Systemtechnik is offering a total of five different commercial and technical occupations for the start of training in September 2019. In addition to training as an industrial clerk, construction mechanic (m/f), process mechanic (m/f) for coating technology and specialist (m/f) for warehouse logistics, WECUBEX is expanding its range of careers at the Herbolzheim location for the coming year with a new position: administrator (m/f) for system integration. All five professions offer a variety of work fields and future-proof training. In addition, WECUBEX received great attention at the trade fair for the advantages of training with the medium-sized industrial company, because, for example, great importance is attached to factors such as team building and personal support, as the prospective construction mechanic Tim Rinkenauer confirms: “In the past four weeks alone, we visited the EuroBlech trade fair in Hanover together and gained many impressions of new developments in the metal industry. On the other hand we had our trainee excursion in September with the combination of customer visit and fun activity in the Escape Room. That was great.”

After the second job information event, WECUBEX is already looking forward to next year’s participation. The Job Start Exchange offers a great opportunity to personally get in touch with potential applicants and present the sheet metal manufacturer’s service portfolio more clearly.
